Cut Out Negativity, And Do It Now

"I hate school"
"My boss is a dick"
"My work is so boring"

Nobody. Fucking. Cares.

That's the big takeaway from this rant. There's too much complaining - and seriously, nobody cares.

I get it. Your work may not be the most fun in the world, your boss may be incompetent and don't know how to properly manage people and you might have been part of something tragic that messed you up. It happens, that's life. But the number one thing that trumps all of this is that you're in full control of the situation.

If you don't like your job, get another one. Can't land a better job? Go study and learn. Studies not doing great? Stop watching TV and sit up reading until 2 AM every night.

At the end of the day, you need to stop blaming everybody else and realize that your current life is a reflection of decisions you are actively making - and that's exactly why negative people are toxic. They don't seem to understand this.

Two years ago I decided to cut out negativity completely, zero tolerance. I told old friends I wouldn't want to hang out with them if they're just going to sit and whine about the life they chose (and have full control over).

I unfollowed every single Facebook-friend that were just attention-seeking trying to justify their situation or get some sort of comfort - and to this day I wish I did it sooner. All these people attract are more loser-friends so they can sit around and complain together, not owning up to anything and find blame on everyone else - and there's nothing more toxic than that.

"You are the sum of the 5 people closest to you" - and it's true. If you want to be successful in life, surround yourself with successful people. Want to be more positive? Cut out negativity completely.
